Refund policy
Trial-first, cancel anytime, fair refunds when something goes wrong.
props.fyi sells a USD 9.90/month software subscription. We are confident in the product, so we lead with a 3-day free trial and let you cancel from a self-serve portal at any time. This page explains how refunds work after that.
We aim to handle refund requests fairly and quickly. If you ever feel like the service hasn't delivered what we promise, email support@props.fyi and we'll work it out.
Free trial protections
- Every new account starts with a 3-day free trial of full access to props.fyi.
- If you cancel during the trial period, your card is never charged and no refund is needed.
- You can cancel from the self-serve billing portal under Profile → Manage Billing at any time.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the self-serve billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access through the period you've already paid for. We do not pro-rate or partial-refund the unused portion of a billing period unless one of the eligibility cases below applies.
When you can request a refund
- Accidental renewal — you intended to cancel before renewal but missed the trial-end or period-end date by a small margin (we look at this case-by-case, generally within 7 days of the charge).
- Service unavailability — extended outage or material defect that prevented you from using the product during the billing period.
- Duplicate or unauthorized charge — if you see a charge you didn't authorize, contact us immediately and we will investigate and reverse it where appropriate.
- Local consumer-protection laws — where applicable laws (for example EU/UK distance-selling regulations) grant a statutory cooling-off period or refund right that exceeds this policy, those laws apply.
How to request a refund
Email support@props.fyi from the address associated with your account. Include the date of the charge, the last four digits of the card or the payment-processor receipt ID if you have it, and a short note about why you're requesting a refund. We typically reply within 1 business day.
How long refunds take
Once approved, refunds are issued via the original payment method through our payment processor. Funds typically reach your card or bank within 5 to 10 business days after we issue the refund, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing issue, please contact us first — we will almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback can. Filing a chargeback for a charge that we have offered to refund may result in account suspension. We treat chargebacks for fraudulent charges (i.e. an unauthorized third party using your card) entirely differently — please contact us so we can investigate together.
